The current California drought is one of the worst in the state's recorded history.  California's agriculture industry is responsible for 40% of all water consumption state-wide.  Farm-X grows its products using hydroponic methods.  Hydroponics uses up to 90% less water than conventional agriculture; thus, providing consumers with a more drought-conscious option.

Food transportation is a leading contributor to gross carbon emissions worldwide.  While some define “local produce” as being within 350 miles of the end-consumer, Farm-X can offer “hyperlocal” vegetables; meaning within 30 miles.  Farm-X will harvest and deliver produce same day once or twice weekly depending on the customer's needs.
